Hello, I'm having a problem with hard drive space that I cant solve.
Movies that I cannot find are taking up 200 GB on my Mac. I tried looking for these movies but I cannot find them. I believe that this is being cause by a video editing software I use called 'VideoBlend'. I think that it creates backups of the videos onto my mac, but I cannot find any them. Not sure what I should do. My Movies for Mac OS X is available in two different versions; an unlimited 'Pro' application, available for purchase through the Mac App Store, and a 'Free' application available for free download though the Mac App Store, which is identical to the 'Pro' version, but limited to 50 titles, a limitation that can be lifted either through contribution points or purchased points.
About Mac > Storage says I have 17.49 GB of movie files. I don't know what they are and would like to see if I can delete or relocate these supposed files to clear up space. I've tried everything, including searching for types of files, thoroughly searching my hard-drive etc. I've browsed many old topics and none of the suggestions have worked. Does any one know how to solve this problem?

Is your Mac up to date with the latest version of the Mac operating system (macOS or OS X)? Is it using the version required by some product or feature? Which versions are earlier (older) or later (newer, more recent) than the version currently installed? To find out, learn which version is installed now.

If your macOS isn't up to date, you may be able to update to a later version.
Which macOS version is installed?
From the Apple menu in the corner of your screen, choose About This Mac. You'll see the macOS name, such as macOS Mojave, followed by its version number. If some product or feature requires you to know the build number as well, click the version number to see it.
This example shows macOS Catalina version 10.15 build 19A583.
Which macOS version is the latest?
These are all Mac operating systems, starting with the most recent. When a major new macOS is released, it gets a new name, such as macOS Catalina. And as updates that change the macOS version number become available, this article is updated to show the latest version of that macOS.
While there are diagnostic files, crash files, log files, and a few other types, we’re going to refer to them collectively as log files. And for the most part, they can all be read by the Console app. (OS X Yosemite’s Console app displaying the crash log from when a system preference terminated unexpectedly. Os x crash log for a particular app. Crash logs contain information about what the app was doing just prior to the crash. To find a log file, please open /Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports/ in the Finder. You may have to hold down the option key when using the Go menu in the Finder to open the Library folder (this is needed on Lion and above).

If your Mac is using an earlier version of any Mac operating system, you should install the latest Apple software updates, which can include important security updates and updates for the apps installed by macOS, such as Safari, Books, Messages, Mail, Music, Calendar and Photos.
